Introduction

Throughout this training we will go over:

• What a notary public is,
• Steps to become a notary public in the state of Hawaii,
• Various laws pertaining to notaries public in the state of Hawaii,
• How these laws are used in practice,
• And general practices that notaries should and should not do.

To help you have a better understanding of what it is to be a notary public and the requirements of a notarization, we will break this training down into various sections.

We will begin by going over the laws set by the State of Hawaii for both notaries public and the individual parts of notarizations. As we proceed through this training, we will slowly start to combine the various parts of a notarization until we have examples of complete notarizations.

By the end of this training, you should have a more thorough understanding of how the individual parts of a notarization work together and how they work in conjunction with the notary public laws.
